Could you tell us what issues you had in joining this list, and how you managed to resolve them? Might help some other folks too...

Groups.IO gave me a way to confirm my account through the browser, and it acted like I had, but when I tried to post, it told me that my account had not yet been confirmed. It was not until I clicked the link to confirm my account through the email I received that I was really confirmed and could then post, after setting a password.
