Re: Changing k eyboard problem

I don't know if it is possible, but I would like to see the ios keyboard to automatically replace FlickType in all financial apps. The ios keyboard is more secure and usually, in financial apps, there isn't much typing.

I think this is where the problem is. I know that third party keyboards are not allowed to enter passwords. Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

I also noticed that not only does this occur in banking/financial apps, this issue also occurs when you edit information that requires the number pad in the App Store. Examples of these fields are the expiry date entry or the security code entry.

adding words to the dictionary manually
leonard morris
In the flick type classic app, to add words to the dictionary manually you did a flick up with one finger after you typed the word. How do you do this in the flick type current full version?

When you type a word manually, it will automatically be added to the dictionary once you finish your typing session. No gesture is needed.😎 Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

Re: Disappearing text
Harry, it sounds like the issue is no longer happening with the disappearing text but you're having trouble with the sensitivity on your new device? There should be no difference between the beta versions and the App Store version, other than the App Store versions are the most stable beta versions that we end up pushing to the App Store. The newest device we have is a X, so we're not able to test for ourselves. I'm wondering if we need to add the option to remove the dismiss keyboard gesture for the newer devices. Does it feel as though that would help with this issue?
Kimberly, I wanted to make sure you've restarted your devices recently? I want to make sure I am understanding your issue if you accidentally touch the screen when typing all your text is cleared? Are you using the demo tab in the app or the system-wide keyboard? Any other instructions you can provide to reproduce your issue is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Ashley

You have to manually type the word and after you dismiss the keyboard the word should be added to your dictionary.

Text is no longer disappearing, you are right! As for dismissing keyboard accidentally by swiping down with one finger while cycling through suggested words while typing, yes, I do find this a real problem on the iPhone XS, I do still find this a real problem. Obviously, removing the one finger swipe down gesture for this model of phone would help me, but you should check with a few others using the new phones before doing anything too drastic!. Half screen mode in message app
Jean-Philippe Rykiel
Dear Flicktypes,
Even though halfscreen mode works very well on my phone, I cannot find the sand button in Message, which is odd because I can find it on Facebook or mail. But then each application as its own design doesn't it. So in fact, I find myself more comfortable in fullscreen mode and dismissing Flick type when messages Ready to be sent. Hello,

When I am sending a message, once I finish typing I tap in the text field to listen to what I have typed, then flick right to find the send button. Then I double tap to send. I hope this helps, Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

Oh! Got it. I was too low for the send button. One thing I find though is that in half screen mode, the first punctuation when flicking right after the end of a word is not pronounced by VoiceOver.

Possible App Functioning Problem with My Banking APP
Leo Bissonnette
Hello,
Today I was working with my Son-in-Law on my iPhone as he was helping me with banking. When he opened the banking app he became concerned about what on the screen. He described the screen as being dark/black with a white keyboard. So, we backed away and did the banking from the Mac. Other apps gave him a similar look. Wondering if anything happened after I updated to iOS 12. Has anyone reported a similar problem. My use of the FlickType APP with VoiceOver certainly doesn’t give a sense of any problem. Any help on this matter would be appreciated. Leo Leo Leo A. Bissonnette, Ph.D.

I can’t actually see why that would be a problem? I’m guessing that Flicktype has the choice of a dark background for low vision users, but I can’t see why you couldn’t just use it in the same way.

Hello,

There are some known issues when using flicktype in financial apps. I prefer to switch to the ios keyboard before I open any financial apps, just to be on the safe side. Btw, Kosta is aware of these problems and is working on a solution.😎 Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

Hello,

You will be able to use FlickType in the container app and export text to different apps, emails, and messages. The difference is, you will not be able to type directly in text fields outside the flicktype app. Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

I am not sure I understood your question correctly, but if you do not buy the app, the demo will still be available. What you pay for is the ability to use flick type as a Third party keyboard in all applications. Have you received my yearly subscription yet?
Daniel McGee
Hi Kosta and Ashley. Have made the changes in my subscription settings from monthly to yearly support for you both in the development of the Flicktype keyboard.
Am feeling slightly concerned that you haven't gotten my payment for the yearly subscription fee yet. Does it take Apple a while to change the subscription and the money from my account to yours? As of today: 4th October, I did get another pop up password prompt when opening the Flicktype app. This is also the day where my FlickType subscription renewed. So am thinking this could potentially be something to do with changing from monthly to yearly. Anyway, went ahead and typed in my password and so far, all seems ok. If you could let me know if you received my subscription payment, that'll be great! Will also keep you posted if I get an Apple invoice about it and will let you know. Regards Daniel
