Why can't I upgrade?

I tried to use the keyboard through messages on my iPhone, but it says I need to upgrade. The upgrade tab in the app but it is dimmed it is not letting me upgrade. Do I need to buy different version? What do I need to do? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Norman,

 

If you have Flicktype Classic then yes, you need to download the “Flicktype, A Better Voiceover Keyboard” app. You will also need to pay a $0.99 subscription (if you are in the US, in Canada or other countries that price will be slightly different) and then after you download the app you can go to Settings > General > Keyboards, click on “Add” and find the Flicktype keyboard under third party keyboards. Add it and make sure you allow full access, only then will you be able to switch to it system wide.

Here is Whatsapp support's desperately stupid reply. I don't even know if French support reaches Whatsapp at all. This reply was written in French and I translated it via Google translate which by the way works amazingly well.

All keyboard components are fully controlled by the iOS. This includes multilingual keyboard, automatic correction, verification
spelling and prediction. These features can be turned on and off in your iPhone Settings> General> Keyboard. If these
features do not work properly, know that this is a concern with the iOS and not WhatsApp.

If you're having trouble slowing down when writing or changing your keyboard or adding emojis, please reset the dictionary to
your keyboard: iPhone Settings> General> Reset> Reset Keyboard Dictionary.

In addition, for an optimizing performance of the application please uninstall all third party keyboards. Please understand that we can not
not solve the concerns related to third-party applications, such as the empty keyboard.

We're also going to be asking the larger group for input on what they'd like for us to work on next in order to come up with a timeline and priorities. Speaking of which, when you ask about colors, are you asking whether there's going to be different color themes, or are you asking for another reason? The better we can understand everyone's wishlist the better we will be able to deliver.

I'm asking for different color themes.
I like the current option, but would also appreciate other options, in case I want to experiment with them.

For example, I really like the "red" option in Fleksy.

Fleksy has many color options, and he'd would be amazing if all of that could be made available in FlickType!

I don't know if others had this problem, how to put in web addresses and email addresses. Here is how with the flick keyboard, type in the complete address without ever flicking to right, now is a email address just flick down to hide the keyboard and it will be where you wanted it after you have typed in the address don't flick to the right instead enter a new line and it will act like hitting a go button.

Hi, i like this keyboard a lot, but I was wondering it u guys could make it possible to access the VoiceOver edit menu while using the keyboard? Also could it be made to accept web addresses? I've noticed that the iOS auto fill doesn't seem to work very well. For example, I can use the default keyboard to enter only a few letters of an email or web address and suggestions appear. Finally, I use ace budget 3 and for some reason it wouldn't let me enter the amount I wanted. The keyboard cane up, but the amount wasn't being entered

Currently, Spanish I believe is also supported as well.
