Hi,

speaking of word prediction, can someone tell me the easiest way, while typing, to save a word to my dictionary? Thanks, Jessica

Hello Jessica,

When you manually type a word with FlickType, it will automatically be added to the dictionary once you finish your typing session. Chuck

Re: Possible compromise
Hi All,
Thanks for the recommendations. We'll be adding more customization to the app as the app is being further developed, but for now, we've found this to be the best order for the largest number of people. Thanks! Ashley

Re: UPDATING FLICKTYPE BETA AND A BUG
Hi Sameer,
Jessica is correct about updating. For shortcuts, we do plan to add this functionality soon but as of now, we have not added text replacements. Please let us know if you have any other questions, Ashley

Opinion of changing things in the app
Ken Clarkg
note about flicktype I really like flicktype I believe it is a real good app that may have some things that have to be fixed and maybe you could use a half screen option as far as other things like bills and whistles I don’t really believe in that too much because this app is written to writing and you can get so far away I’m not with bells and whistle‘s that pretty soon the app lost its simplicity and his usefulness. That’s just my opinion and take it whatever it’s worth but I’ve have seen too many apps that got ruined because they got over complicated with stuff that was way beyond what they were designed to do. Hi Ashley and Jessica

Thanks for replying to me. When I enter testflight, I am not presented with an update option (the "open button" is there though). How do I get to update? And more importantly, how do I update to Flicktype beta version 142 (I am currently on Flicktype beta 137). Looking forward to hearing from you. Regards Sameer

Hi Chuck,

I read this before and in Fleksy once I manually typed my name and added it to the dictionary I could touch type it pretty fast and it would usually predict it correctly. This seems to not work in Flicktype so far, I'll try again, but so far I've been having problems with that. Regards, Sieghard

Hello,

Remember, you must end your typing session before it will be entered into the dictionary. Once you dismiss the keyboard or change to the iOS keyboard, your name will be added. BTW, your names contain a lot of letters and are nothing like any common words. The text prediction should work very well... I occasionally get chick instead of chuck. 😎

This works really well for me. My daughter's name is Krystal with a K. And my niece's name is Kaori. After manually entering both of these it types them just fine now when I type them.

BTW, you can also enter words into the dictionary using FlickType Classic in the same way you entered them in fleksy. FlickType Classic and the custom keyboard share the dictionary.

Email and web address
Ken Clarkg
When typing email addresses there and webpages and I am put area I told you don’t look to the right type the complete address using the touch type keyboard flip type keyboard the reason you don’t want to flip right anytime during the address is because the right flip put in a space you don’t want that

Copy and paste
leonard morris
In Fleksy I could have the option to have both the copy and paste to show in both the subject and body of the text or the body only. I do not see this option in flick type classic. Is that option available in the full version of Flick Type?

Hello,

No, in order to use copy and paste you must switch to the iOS keyboard. In the future FlickType may have a half screen option that will allow you to use all the rotor functions. Chuck
