That said, I do plan to see if it's possible to make it work with iOS 13. People are reporting that all 3rd-party keyboards are non-responsive with VoiceOver, and my experience has been similar, which sounds like a real show-stopper. I will have to wait until iOS 13 is finally released before I try to come up with any potential workarounds, so that I work with a somewhat stable iOS version rather than any of the ever-changing betas.
Finally, there's a chance I'll get around to switching to a small one-time fee instead of the subscription, if I find the time to do this.

Kosta, Thank you for FlickType. It has been a blessing to be able to type with this keyboard. The users of this keyboard feel like we can type just as well as the sighted. I hope that you will continue your work on FlickType and make it an even better keyboard. I appreciate all your hard work. I definitely would be willing to pay a higher fee for this app. I hope Ashley is doing better and will continue to do so. Thank you. Benny Barber

Until Kosta says he can do no more. It’s developers like this who try to give equal access. For that, I will do what I can. Even with fewer updates. Best, JP

Dear Kosta and Ashley
Words can't describe how this keyboard assists me in using IOS for whatever task is at hand.
However, health and family must come first before anything else.
So do all take very good care of yourselves and return to the project when you feel ready.
P.S. For the sake of it, I'm just gonna let my subscription auto renew for the coming year purely for support of the keyboard regardless of updates being less often.
Happy typing to all!

I am such a horrible typist, I have adopted flicktype as my go to keyboard for all my typing needs. Even when I am typing on my Mac mini, I use flicktype on my iPhone in the Simple Notes app, then open the note on the Mac and copy and paste the text into whatever I need. To those of you who can type, this probably sounds labor intensive, but it is at least twice as fast for me.😎

Hello Kostla and Ashley,
As others have stated already, I want to thank you for all of your hard work in developing this keyboard for the blind community in resolving the task of word processing on the iPhone. It has definitely improved my ability to compose and respond to all types of tasks. Family and health always comes first. So Ashley, you are in my thoughts for a speedy recovery. You need to get your strength back to tackle and balance the responsibilities of being mom and work.
On another note, a heads up from another developer warning not to upgrade to iOS 13.1. He has heard from multiple sources that VoiceOver is the bug that will not work with 3rd party keyboards. He stated that his app is working just fine, but not VoiceOver.
Again, I wish all the best to both of you and you have my total support.
Warmest regards,

IOS 13.1 has multiple issues. I tried it last night, but quickly returned to 12.4.1. There is a choppy affect when typing that sounds similar to trying to connect a speaker wire and the connection going in and out as you get it in place. for example: when using the main keyboard and exploring, the letter U sounds like U, however when you lift your finger to type that U, it sounds like oo. The same thing with the letter C. So this can really throw you off when typing and the C sounds like an E when you lift your finger to type it. This is really bad when using Samantha, but not so bad when using Alex. But typing is still very slow even if you're pretty efficient with the keyboard. It just feels like voice over lags no matter what you're doing. It felt really good to get back on 12.4.1. So I would strongly recommend not updating until this stuff gets fixed. I'm all about upgrading, but this is simply not ready in my opinion.

I have no issues of Voiceover being sluggish in any way on my iPhone 8 with the iOS 13.1 beta. If anything everything feels a bit faster, e.g. opening apps, bring up the app switcher etc.

Flick type will work on IOS 13.1 beta 3 for the most part. But it
will not say the word you typed when you flick to the right to
space: nor will it say what you've deleted if you flick left. That's
what I noticed for the short time I had it yesterday.

IOS 13.1 has multiple issues. I tried it last night, but quickly returned to 12.4.1. There is a choppy affect when typing that sounds similar to trying to connect a speaker wire and the connection going in and out as you get it in place. for example: when using
the main keyboard and exploring, the letter U sounds like U, however when you lift your finger to type that U, it sounds like oo. The same thing with the letter C. So this can really throw you off when typing and the C sounds like an E when you lift your finger
to type it. This is really bad when using Samantha, but not so bad when using Alex. But typing is still very slow even if you're pretty efficient with the keyboard. It just feels like voice over lags no matter what you're doing. It felt really good to get
back on 12.4.1. So I would strongly recommend not updating until this stuff gets fixed. I'm all about upgrading, but this is simply not ready in my opinion.

Hey All, The app version of FlickType is working just fine on the 13 release. I have been using it for the past couple of hours with no issues. Happy to know that I shouldn't have any problems setting up new phone tomorrow, and not have to give up on FlickType for the moment. Just letting those who were worried about the update know. Flick type will work on IOS 13.1 beta 3 for the most part. But it will not say the word you typed when you flick to the right to space: nor will it say what you've deleted if you flick left. That's what I noticed for the short time I had
it yesterday.

To my knowledge flick type worked in earlier versions of 13.0.
But it stopped working so well in 13.1 which comes out next
Tuesday. It does work in 13.1, but there are some things it wont
repeat. So it does work, but it's really sloppy.
