Ashley, I've got news for you, and for me to. A friend of mine just told me it was an iOS Bug, and that it has been Solved in the future iOS version that is already available to beta testers.

Hi JPR,

Following your instructions, I created a definition with over 100 characters. They shouldn't feel like this is a FlickType issue since it does work in FlickType and does not work for the iOS keyboard if it were the other way around then it would make sense if they thought it was a FlickType issue. Can’t get either version working on an iPad 2 running iOS 11 or iOS 12

Every time I touch the screen with FT running it says the opening script a never types. Am I the only person with this problem?

Question about the Watch app

Tony James

Hi, I recently got the watch app but I’m still struggling with how to pop open the menu. I think I have to put focus on the Tips button and do a force touch. The problem is that I am not sure if I should do a normal voiceover double tap and hold or if I just do a single tap and hold. It seems as though I can pop open the manual successfully after I forced restart the app, but there’s probably a better way

HI.

I am having the same issue, don’t know if i’m doing it wrong but i can’t always get the menu.

Then all I see is a send or clear button if i get the menu open. is that correct?

hello,
A force touch in the center of the watch screen should open the menu. Give it a couple of seconds.

Good luck,

Cannot get flick type keyboard or FlickType Classic to work on my iPad

David Speck

Hello,
I have an iPad mini 2 running iOS 12.1. I have not been able to get any version of FlickType Classic to work properly on this iPad in iOS 11 or 12. Whenever I install either one, I can open the app, but when I touch the screen where the keyboard is, voiceover simply says what the opening script for flick flick type is. It never types anything. I cannot select letters or characters. None of the functions work. All I can do is close the app and uninstall it. Any idea why this is not working for me? Is anyone else having this problem? Our my messages to this forum even going through?
Thank you

Re: Can’t get either version working on an iPad 2 running iOS 11 or iOS 12

Hi David,

This sounds like a direct touch issue. Will you please check that direct touch is enabled within the rotor?

Please let us know if this helps!

I'm only using your demo version at this time, but added in my 2 cents. I've got more iTunes gift cards on my Christmas list though, so will definitely be purchasing the full app. I still haven't quite wrapped my head around the concept of typing on an iPhone, but I really enjoy your app. Happy holidays to everyone.

Hello,

I was just wondering what the status is of version 4.4?

Do you think it'll be out before Christmas?

Hello Ashley,
I finally did receive the messages. Thank you for responding. Changing the rotor to direct touch and turning it on did solve the problem with the classic app. I will install the system wide keyboard shortly and give it a try as well.
Thanks again,
Dave

I just installed the current beta of the system wide keyboard. Functionality does not change regardless of the typing mode. Even direct touch is not solving the issue in the system wide keyboard.

Yes. The classic app now works fine, but the system wide keyboard just won't work.
