Re: Annual subscription
That maybe true, but Costa and Ashley were the ones who started this and the Flicktype group, if they feel they can’t keep up the communication part then at least they should say so.

On the other hand, I am using the app store version of FlickType which is working perfectly so at this time there is no need for an update. I have never received any email from any other app about its development, including those I have been a beta tester for. Currently I am beta testing the NFB Newsline app and I get no communication from them other than what I receive through Test Flight. Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

Re: Annual subscription
There are issues with Flicktype on iOS 13.1 Beta which Apple has already released alongside iOS 13.0 Betas. Anyhow, the baby is not so new-born any more and I’d still like to hear what the plan is for Flicktype.

Yeah it works fine on my end too. I just hope that it will continue to work on IOS 13. I'll continue my subscription as long as the app works. On 9/11/2019 7:10 AM, Chuck Dean wrote:

Agreed, the whole new baby thing is getting old. If you are going to run a business and have a family you need to do both.

Re: Annual subscription
I agree,
I am getting to the point of stopping using flicktype.
My reason is lack of communication from the developer.
I can dictate faster then using the app. m

Hello everyone,
I just sent Kosta an email asking for information on the status of flicktype.
Hopefully, Kosta or Ashley will respond quickly.

Hello All, This is also something I’ve been considering. Communication has become nonexistent by email. I don’t expect constant updates, but a brief update maybe once a month. I appreciate this app. Along with the dedication from Kosta and Ashley. However, I’m not on social media to do update communication. That won’t be changing. My annual renewal is Oct. 16th. Would be nice to know the current and further vision on the platform. Best, JP

The latest beta was less than a month ago. Communication is less frequent, but it is pretty clear they are still working on the app.

I understand that Kosta is communicating through social media, but I haven't heard anything from kosta in many months. I wish they would start communicating through the email process as before for those of us who do not tweet or face. Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

Is FlickType out of business because I need to decide if I want to renew my annual subscription?

iOS 13.1 and Third Party Keyboards
Serina Gilbert
Hi There,
I am beta testing iOS 13.1 and noticed that all third party keyboards have lost accessibility. I am unable to here items that I delete when typing on a third party keyboard, including Flick Type and unable to receive spoken feedback when exploring the keyboard by touch within an app. I have reported this to Apple, but I was also wondering if the developers of Flick Type have noticed this and also reported it or have an ETA on this being resolved?
Thanks so much,
Serina

Re: Strange Flicktype, iOS 13 beta, and Audio Ducking Problem
Tangela M.
I suspect this is an ios issue. Even with the regular beta and braille screen input or other ways of typing there are weird ducking bugs with vo. even using the rotor causes it to fluctuate though usually it is going quieter, not louder, but perhaps something with the way flicktype also plays sounds makes that reversed.

Strange Flicktype, iOS 13 beta, and Audio Ducking Problem
Chris Smart
Ok, this one is strange.
With the latest iOS 13 developer beta, and the latest Flicktype beta, and only when ducking is turned on, the key click sound ramps up in volume unexpectedly, when using my phone's internal speakers. When using 2nd generation Airpods, Voiceover reading each word I type is what jumps up in volume, to extremely high levels. I have yet to experience this with any other app or the built-in iOS keyboard. This is with an iPhone 8 Plus. IOS 13 supported
Daniel McGee
Hi, when IOS 13 gets released in the autumn, will FlickType be able to run on the new OS as it currently stands? Or better yet, support IOS 13.
It's an invaluable productivity tool for me and I would hate to see development limp behind. Still going to pay my: subscription though when that comes around because I still want to fund development as I believe in the product! Happy typing to all! Daniel
