Re: To Kosta and Ashley: still stuck in a loop

I am currently using mBraille. FlickType was moved below mBraille. Neither of these things suggested work for me. When I flick down with 2 fingers on mBraille's keyboard I am automatically in FlickType. No double tapping and holding to move to another keyboard. Once in FlickType, touching the new keyboard button takes me back to mBraille. As with mBraille the button for switching cannot be double tapped and held to move up keyboards. You just touch it. So, good suggestions but no go. To send this I will now have to swipe down to get mBraille to move for FlickType and then touch the right-hand button at the bottom that makes the keyboard default. Now I can send this note. However, I cannot start a new email as FlickType covers the address and makes it impossible to see the addresses so you can pick your wanted address. Until I take mBraille or FlickType completely out of the list I have no access to IOS and imojee keyboards. Now going to bed, and I'll work on this tomorrow. Personally I think this would be easy to solve. Just make FlickType have the same kind of next keyboard button as IOS or imojee. If you are using FlickType in demo mode, you may want to download FlickType Classic on the A app store. It is now, and always will be free of charge and is the original stand alone app. BTW, some of the gestures are different, so be. Sure to read the instructions. Chuck stout

App subscription
Rachel <r.usher1982@...>
Hello there.
Just wanted to share my thoughts regarding the current debate around the monthly subscription to use the keyboard system wide. The app is absolutely fantastic. There are a few aspects of it i still need to mess around with, but i feel confident that given time i will, at long last, find myself being able to type on my phone much more quickly than i do using the iPhone’s standard keyboard, meaning tasks like sending longer emails will take far less time. ☺️ As regards paying a monthly subscription to use the keyboard: while i fully accept that given the huge amount of sheer hard work, time and effort that has clearly gone in to making the keyboard operate as efficiently as it does, i’m afraid that for me, the use of a keyboard is not something for which i am prepared to subscribe to. If i was to purchase a keyboard from any store, i would not be expected to pay a monthly subscription fee for me to use that keyboard. So the above, in my view, also applies to the use of FlickType. I would far rather pay a one off fee (just like i would pay a one off price for a shop bought keyboard). In view of this i am using the keyboard in demo mode then sharing the text with the desired app. Many thanks for reading, and keep up the fantastic work. Regards. Rachel.

To Kosta and Ashley: still stuck in a loop
Regina Alvarado
Hi, First I would like to get out of my subscription. I have moved around all my keyboards in the list many times. If I have both mBraille and FlickType as third-party keyboards invariably they will follow each other in the list of keyboards and I will be stuck between the two with no way to get to my IOS keyboard or imojee keyboard. This has become a deal breaker for me. If I need to put in an address if between the two I cannot put it in. I have tried everything to fix this problem. I like FlickType a lot. However, I am ready to dump my subscription since I cannot find a workaround my problem. Thank you for a good product, however. Please let me know how to stop my subscription. Thank you.

Do you have full access enabled? Go to general, keyboards, keyboards, FlickType and enable full access.

I don’t understand what has happened but I simply cannot use Flicktype any more. I thought it was an issue with the Beta version, so I tried the main app, but still cannot use it. It doesn’t work from the app nor as a 3rd party keyboard. It never allows me to type. I’m using Ios 11.4.1 on an Iphone SE. Inviato da iPhone

I would be all right with a monthly payment, or even something like a three month payment. I figure it is up to the developers.

Re: One time purchase option
I can understand why Ashley and costa went with the monthly subscription.
But like a few comments that I've seen so far, I have store credit and I don't like seeing little charges cunning out each month with a receipt from apple.
However, being an app for a small number of blind and vision impaired users,
Ashley and costa need to maintain funding for further development.
Kind Regards,

Hi,

Honestly, I don't mind $0.99 a month! A onetime purchase option would be nice, but I totally understand why you went with a subscription model. Can you fix the bug that causes flicktype to invert its colors, when the "new" invert colors is enabled? Thanks, Jessica

Very low vision - I have about 2% field of vision so I can see most of one letter on iPad iOS keyboard and nothing else at the same time. On iPhone,FlickType is a godsend! Thanks for developing this! Harry

Re: One time purchase option
I agree, an annual subscription option would also be my preference. I hate this for my additional iCloud storage, both my wife and I have an extra 50Gb and we use the same Visa so every month I have 2 transactions for $1.35 (that is here in Canada), then I have our monthly Apple Music Family subscription, now the Flicktype… Yes, I could buy an iTunes gift card and load it up, probably should do that, then I won’t see all those charges on my credit card for a while.

Well while I understand that the one Life time payment option fee is not doable. Why not have an annual renewal for $12 option. For example, I have to renew my tune in premium, VPN, at bat, dropbox, and iTunes match only once a year. This monthly for the renewal is exactly what I don’t like about my Amazon premium, Iheart, and Spotify subscription monthly renewal. I much rather be bugged once a year then be bug once a month. What’s the difference between paying $.99 per month and $12 annually? All you would need to do is send out an email that would tell you this subscription is about to expire in if you want to keep it do nothing or don’t want it any more cancel it Or if possible have it both ways. This is just my $.99 worth. Every country has an identity, history, custom, and culture. It’s a unique landscape in determining how its people Live, work, and play.

I mentioned that issue earlier and am not sure what causes it. Since Mbraille seems to have the same problem, I'm beginning to suspect it might be more an apple limitation. moreover, the dismiss and next keyboard buttons can be enabled in the settings of the main flicktype app, and can also be envoked with a one finger swipe up or down and long hold. Hope this helps.

I have low vision. FlickType is one of my favorite apps in the utility category. I'm able to type just as quickly and accurately as my sighted friends and family. FlickType rocks! ☺️
