Re: Watch app
I guess if you have an Apple Watch with cellular you may occasionally have only the watch and not your phone, but really how often do people leave their phones at home. Then of course there is the issue regarding that urge that one always has to look at an incoming email or text and reply. I don’t know how old you are, Chuck, but I’m 51 and grew up in a time when back in Germany we had a relatively large house on our farm where 4 generations of the family lived together and we had a landline with 1 single rotary phone in the entire house, later on (probably in the 80’s) my parents had an extension in the bedroom, but there was no answering machine or anything like that so if somebody called and nobody was there to answer then they would just have to call back. I more and more find it refreshing to leave my phone in the bedroom when my wife and I have breakfast or dinner or to simply ignore an incoming call while we eat and if I receive an email or text and I can’t reply just in that moment then so be it, the world goes on.

Hello, I doubt I would ever write a long email on the FlickType watch app, but there have been some times when I needed to reply to a message or email and did not feel comfortable dictating my response in public. Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

But it would be great not to have to dictate a short message sometimes, I’m looking forward to if the app can be developed for the watch successfully

Good luck, Kosta, but for me there are things which make sense and things which don’t make sense and I’m sorry to say that a keyboard for a tiny screen like the Apple Watch doesn’t make sense to me. That is what dictation is for, but then again I’m open to being surprised although I just can;’t see myself writing a long email to somebody using my Apple Watch.

Hello, Kosta is working on a highly experimental watch app, that at this time actually can not do anything because the watch does not support any type of keyboards.☹️
He is looking for work arounds and hopes to develop the first keyboard for the visually impaired to be used on the apple watch! I assume it will work like the demo version of flicktype where we will type in text and then export it to other apps, which will work fine for me.😎 Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

Hi, check you haven't accidentally turned Direct Touch off. I had the same problem, and that's what I'd done.

Hi Chaim,
Thanks for your message. It sounds like you've added FlickType as a keyboard option but haven't enabled full access in the settings. You can do this by going to the main settings app, scroll down to FlickType, tap keyboards, toggle on "allow full access". Please let me know how this goes. Warmly, Ashley

Re: Have you received my yearly subscription yet?
Hi Daniel,
That's nice of you to check in about payment, smile. Chuck is correct, we are not able to see if your purchase went through, but your assumption about your password prompt sounds correct to me. Apple should send you an email confirmation soon confirming your FlickType subscription. Super appreciate all your support over these months! Warmly, Ashley

I upgraded to $.99 a month but still cannot get the app to work with voiceover on. It’s just continually repeats the word FlickType and there’s my type at all. Help

You are all set! You do not need to do anything else. FlickType will work the same in the demo app, and can be used in any app to fill in text. Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

I think I should’ve been more clear I would suppose. I purchased the annual subscription but it’s my understanding it stays as a demo for seven days when the demo is finished I was asking what will the screen look like or what do I need to do anything?

Hello Daniel, All subscriptions are between you and Apple. To see your Apple subscriptions, go to the App Store, and in the upper right-hand cornerg double tap on my account. Now, double tap on your name. Now flick down until you hear subscriptions. Double tap. Here you should be able to see the status of all your subscription on the Apple phone. I hope this helps Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

I am not sure I understood your question correctly, but if you do not buy the app, the demo will still be available. What you pay for is the ability to use flick type as a Third party keyboard in all applications. Have you received my yearly subscription yet?
Daniel McGee
Hi Kosta and Ashley. Have made the changes in my subscription settings from monthly to yearly support for you both in the development of the Flicktype keyboard.
Am feeling slightly concerned that you haven't gotten my payment for the yearly subscription fee yet. Does it take Apple a while to change the subscription and the money from my account to yours? As of today: 4th October, I did get another pop up password prompt when opening the Flicktype app. This is also the day where my FlickType subscription renewed. So am thinking this could potentially be something to do with changing from monthly to yearly. Anyway, went ahead and typed in my password and so far, all seems ok. If you could let me know if you received my subscription payment, that'll be great! Will also keep you posted if I get an Apple invoice about it and will let you know. Regards Daniel

Hello,

You will be able to use FlickType in the container app and export text to different apps, emails, and messages. The difference is, you will not be able to type directly in text fields outside the flicktype app. Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.
