Hi Jessica,
Kosta stated in an earlier email that the
Watch companion app will return in the future, so there's not
really a separation; it's just temporarily unavailable. The
FlickType Notes app appears to be a more mainstream project that
Kosta has stated will be fully accessible with Voiceover. For
people with normal sight, FlickType Notes appears to be well
received, if the reviews are anything to go by.

Hello Jessica, The reason Kosta has separated the watch app from FlickType, is to generate much more revenue. At the current time the watch app is not accessible and Kosta is going for a main stream demographic. He is hoping that if he can get enough sighted people to buy the watch app, it will generate enough revenue to keep Fliktype alive. He has said that eventually, probably in the very near future, that the FlickType Notes app will be accessible. Personally I think this is a fantastic idea, because of this idea, the subscription to FlickType has been canceled, and if you were a subscriber before, you now get Fliktype for free! By the way, I purchased the app, FlickType Notes, for $3.99 before I signed up for the beta. I really feel strongly about supporting the cause. 😎 Here is the App Store link: Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

Hello Gina, At the present time there is no beta for Fliktype. The beta people have been talking about is for Fliktype notes, the new app for the Apple Watch. If you would like to sign up for that beta, here is the invite link: Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

Re: Feedback, Punctuations and more

Hello, I have noticed these issues, in the mail app, since the introduction of iOS 13. I find it easier to compose my email text in the flicktype container app and then transfer the text via copy and paste into the message field of the email, as I am doing right now.😎 This is an easy work around until flicktype is fixed. Hello,
Hello, To cancel a subscription: 1. go to the settings icon on your home screen. 2. double tap on your name to open it. 3. scroll down or flick from left to right until you hear voiceover announce subscriptions. 4. Double tap on that to open it. This is where all of ones subscriptions are listed. 5. tap on the subscription that you want to interface with. I hope this makes sense. Best, Eileen

To edit any subscription, go to settings, at the very top of the settings page you’ll find your name. Double tap on your name, flick right until you hear subscriptions. I believe it is the fourth item down, double tap on subscriptions find the subscription you want to edit, and follow the prompts. Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

Re: Dictionary questions

If you type a word manually anywhere that
isn't in the dictionary, it goes into the dictionary even if
it's misspelled. I go in there every now and then and clean out
words that I thought were spelled correctly when I entered them
manually only to find they were misspelled. This appears to have
been the behavior for at least the previous version. Voiceover
says "misspelled" in such cases. I'm aware of no way to disable
it, so I just have to be careful and do a little cleaning on
occasion.

Re: Seeking comments of FlickType upgraders before taking the plunge
Benny,
I would caution you not to cancel your FlickType subscription until you've installed the upgrade and are happy with it. The following steps can be followed to cancel a subscription and are written based on an iPhone 8 running iOS 13.3:
1. Place focus on the Apps Store home screen button or icon and single finger triple tap. 2. A context menu will open and swipe until Updates has focus and double tap. 3. On the screen that opens, swipe right until Subscriptions is announced and double tap. 4. Swipe until your FlickType subscription has focus. Voiceover should announce your subscription period and next billing date. Double tap to open the subscription. 5. You will be placed on an edit subscription screen and the last item on that screen is a Cancel subscription button which you should double tap to cancel it.
Good luck.

Hi Alan,
To clarify, existing subscribers will also be able to keep using the app with no additional cost. In fact, once you update, you should be able to cancel your subscription and still be able to use the app forever.
This last update brings no significant changes to the way the keyboard works in all text fields, so won't be missing anything if you don't update now. I have removed a lot of bloat from it though, so if anything, some things should be better.

Okay there is more. It seams all my issues only happen in the mail application. I am writing this message in notes and everything is fine. First letter is spoken, character input works as expected, and punctuations are spoken. Any clue?

Hey everyone. Welcome back Kosta. That's cool about the app being free for subscribers. I've got a few questions for you. I have the app displayed in the standard screen layout and text announcements are turned off. When I was a part of the beta program for Flicktype, if you had the screen size set to standard and text announcements were turned off, it looked like as if you were typing using the iOS keyboard because there was no black box above the keyboard. So my first question is now that subscriptions are a thing of the past, once my subscription ends, will that black box above the keyboard disappear and it behaves like it did in the beta?
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
My 2nd question to you is actually in regards to betas. Do you think it's worth it to re-sign up for the betas now that there are no subscriptions? If so, is there a redeem code I can enter as the last beta expired? Lastly, this is in response to Jessica's issue in regards to entering double digit numbers that have the same digits. I'm not having this issue here as I was able to enter the number 11 with no problems. Which app are you experiencing this on and how are you entering number mode?

Re: mad about removal of watch app
Chuck Dean
Hello George, Yes Fliktype notes for the iOS Apple Watch, is available in the App Store for $2.99. Be warned, it is not accessible with voiceover at this time. The only way it can be used is to turn voiceover off and you get no audio input whatsoever. If you’re planning on using it on your Apple Watch, I would suggest that you wait until it is accessible. I will be sure to put up notice once it is accessible. Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.
