Re: New and improved Flick type update

For example, I typed the word "test" and the first option was year. then I typed the word "how" and got "his" I have the 10R, so you have to go over almost to the edge of the screen to get the O, and the same with the W. But the S is lower, but I still got how for the first result. So a little fine tuning should get that back to where it was prior to the Monday update.

I'll definitely post a good review for sure. there's still a slight issue with accuracy. If you type much slower it tends to be more accurate for some reason. Prior to the update on Monday, I could type really fast with perfect accuracy. But now it seems to be pulling up really obscure words. I did totally clean out my dictionary.

It's still missing a little compared to where it was, but
definitely a big improvement. The accuracy still needs a little
fine tuning.

Copying text problem

After typing a message, I swipe up And hold from bottom of the screen and get a screen with export on the left hand side and then the text buddy but my message does not appear. What am I doing wrong? I have orientation lock on the phone in portrait mode

It's now available in the app store with much better accuracy. I see a big difference.

Re: Has anyone else noticed this

Well I did discover something that appears to be added with
yesterday's update. In settings there is now an option for the
keyboard to learn new words. This was turned off, so when it's off
it does not add words to the dictionary. However when I turned it
on, the keyboard seems to be working as it always has. So now you
can choose if you want words added to the dictionary. I turned
mine back on because it definitely improves accuracy on my phone.

The keyboard area seems a bit less tall.
That may be why it isn't working as one is accustomed. I think
this is just slightly different dimensions messing with muscle
memory.

Re: Confused about "in app purchases" in app store description
Tony Hernandez
The description of the app hasn't caught up with reality yet, but we have heard it right from the horse's mouth that there is no more charge than $2.99 for new paying customers. Sorry Kosta. I think horses are beautiful, strong, and majestic creatures, so there. Lol. This news has also received a write-up on the well known and reputable Blind Bargains blog, further cementing the veracity of these tidings, as there is no way that they would have put this in writing without verifying the information. Here's the URL for that article: https://www.blindbargains.com/bargains.php?m=21535

I am confused about the “in app purchases” mentioned in the description of the new Flicktype app. I thought Flicktype had moved to a non-subscription model and that its use only required a one time purchase price of $2.99.
However the app store entry states:
In-App Purchases Use inside all apps$0.99
This implies that the $2.99 isn’t as functional as the current Flicktype app and that there is an extra charge for unlocking it to be used with all apps. Plus both of these options look the same. What am I missing?
Thanks.

I just used Flicktype on my Apple Watch series 4 (paired with iPhone XS running latest iOS with Flicktype new beta).

I expected the Flicktype keyboard to pop up when I go into my list of Messages and start to reply - wrong! I had to find and open the Flicktype app on my watch, double tap to open it and then it took about 5 minutes to download the app, though it did tell me that it could carry on doing this in the background. When it was ready, I double tapped and composed a message and hit Send and my list of messages appeared so I could select which one I wanted to send my reply to: I double tapped on a message, my composed message was there ready so I hit send. All this worked so well with VoiceOver! My original confusion was because it was not obvious how to use the app, hence me detailing the steps above to save others stumbling about in the dark! Now I understand it, it is brilliant! Thanks Harry

Hello George, Fliktype is $2.99 USD, for anyone who’s never downloaded it before. If you haven’t downloaded it on your work phone, and it doesn’t use the same Apple ID, you will have to pay the price. Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

Hi Peter,
I tried to get flick type for my work phone.
When I searched for flick type in the App Store, it said $4.99 Australian on the product page. Don’t know why they haven’t removed it yet.

Hi Kosta,

As others here have said previously, we're so glad you're back! The "flicktype notes" does have an iphone app, its on my 5th page. I' love Flicktype! I was telling someone about flicktype recenqly, and she asked me how hard flicktype is to use, when compared to the ios keyboard, which she said she struggles with. What's the best way to explain how flicktype works? Thanks, Jessica
