Maybe after they have a half screen option they can add something in Settings where the user can select which experience they want, full screen or half screen.

Think of it this way. Currently, using FlickType, you cannot copy, paste, or edit text. Isn’t that part of typing as well? In other words, you can’t really get the full typing experience unless

I type very rapidly with two thumbs in landscape mode. I have never had this problem.
Perhaps it is your technique and not the app.

Yes, you can, I just customized my emoji's. To do this, go to the settings tab at the bottom of the screen, swipe until you hear emoji shortcuts, then one more swipe will put you on the emoji edit
