Re: Dictionary automatically populated?

Yes, FlickType will enter words manually typed at the end of your typing session. Once you dismiss the keyboard the words should be in the dictionary.

Re: Problems upgrading from the demo version
Hi Leonard, George,

Thanks for the support, means a lot to us! No need to remove the beta version when you update to the store version, but you do need to be on the store version to upgrade to the subscription. When you search for FlickType on the App Store, actually click on FlickType and go to the App page and then press download to ensure you get the App Store version. Once you download the app from the App Store, go to the upgrade screen and you will have two options available 1) 1-week trial, then monthly, and 2) 1-week trial, then yearly. You do not need to click restore at the top right, instead simply click on which of the two subscriptions you'd like to sign up for. Once you click on the option you'd like, Apple's standard payment agreement prompt should pop up asking for your password or your touch ID after following the prompt you should be subscribed. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Warmly, Ashley On Tue, Sep 25, 2018 at 09:56 PM, George Cham wrote:

Dictionary automatically populated?
Hi List,
I'm not running the latest version of the FlickType Keyboard but am using 2.8.157. My understanding was that words manually typed using the FlickType keyboard would be automatically entered into the dictionary. Is my understanding correct because this doesn't seem to be happening for me.
Thanks.

We were diligently working hard to figure out what was going on with the welcome screen, not sure if you saw our Twitter poll but thanks for following up with the parental control information because we weren't gathering leads on our own. I saw you also posted about a crash, I'll follow up on that thread directly. Best, Ashley On Wed, Sep 26, 2018 at 10:14 PM, Harry Bell wrote:

Since getting by new iPhone XS I've noticed that if I type a message using Flicktype and dismiss the keyboard with a one finger flick down, the text just disappears!

Problem on Welcome screen solved!
Harry Bell
I’ve discovered that the Failed to open page message I kept getting on the Welcome screen was due to Parental Controls in my broadband provider account settings blocking the FlickType website! Ridiculous, I know. So, I’ve turned parental controls off and all works well again. Just goes to show that not all problems with FlickType are Flicktype’s fault at all!
Thanks Harry |

Re: Contractions and other difficult words
Paula Page <fairyhugs@...>
Hi, mostly, these are already in Flicktype’s dictionary. So if you type the word without the apostrophe, it will give you the option of a word with an apostrophe, if that makes sense. For example, if you type dont, the first option that comes up is usually don’t. Hope that makes sense.

Upgrading app
leonard morris
I am currently using the classic version of this app. I would very much like to subscribe to the full yearly payment version. I downloaded the demo, clicked on upgrade, did the four Finger triple tap on the ID number but I am not sure how to proceed. I have not received a reply regarding not being able to upgrade from this demo app. So, can someone just post instructions again please? Thanks.

There is a way to manually export the dictionary to another device, but I forget how it is done. Perhaps some one else can instruct you. Good luck, Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores. On Sep 26, 2018, at 10:19 PM, Harry Bell via Groups.Io <ubupanoramix@...> wrote:

The text I’d typed with FlickType seems to have disappeared! I said that after installing today’s update and restarting, I’m still getting that Failed to load page message popping up on the Welcome screen of the app on both iPad 2018 and iPhone XS

Hello,

Those words can be typed by typing the letters. For example, if I want to type the word can't, I simply tap in the area of the c a n and t. FlickType will recognize what you are trying to type.. Try it, its like magic! Chuck (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores. On Sep 26, 2018, at 7:09 PM, Jack Chen. <misterjackchen@...> wrote:

Contractions and other difficult words
Jack Chen. <misterjackchen@...>
Hello. Does anybody have good strategies on how to enter words with apostrophes in them?
Words such as we’re and can’t? I am just starting out on my practice, so if anyone has tips on other difficult things to enter, I would love to know. |

Hi Harry I think its not yet a feature present in the app. I believe though, that it will be added eventually. On Wed, 26 Sep 2018 at 07:25, Harry Bell via Groups.Io <ubupanoramix=icloud.com@groups.io> wrote:

I use FlickType in landscape mode when I am typing large amounts of text. Being in full screen mode, I don't have to be careful about typing above the keyboard, so I make less mistakes.😎 But whatever works best for you... Personally, I can’t see any reason to use the full screen anymore, I love half-screen so much! :)

We love hearing how everyone uses FlickType in other apps. We hope once we create a gesture to toggle between half and full screen it will be the best experience.
Cheers! Ashley |
