Yes I have tried restarting my iPhone 8. Issue came back though. Version 11.4.1 (15G77)

Should I try deleting FlickType and downloading a fresh copy from the App Store again.

Ok, I have deleted flicktype, restarted my device and installed a fresh copy of the app. This made no difference though.

Its gotten to the point where I am having to resort to FlickType classic to enter my text. And paste it in text areas.

If you like, I could send you a screen recording of the problem and we could proceed from there.

Kosta, think I figured out what was going on. Installed the beta again, and noticed that the half screen option was selected. Somehow, this must of gotten stuck when moving back to the released version on the app store. I have changed it back to: full screen mode and touch wood, all is working well at present. ☺️

So sorry for making you think there was a bug when in fact, it was human error on my part. ☹️

This happened to me a month ago, but actually, I had the opposite problem. When the full screen was activated, it kept throwing me out of the Flicktype keyboard, but putting it on the reduced setting seemed to solve it. I did also eventually take Flicktype out of my keyboards, then put it back, so I’m not sure if it was finally that which sorted out my problem?

A lifetime subscription would need to cost hundreds of dollars. Would you be willing to invest that sum of money,
Also consider that another, maybe better keyboard could be developed you would have all that money invested.

Its just not a good idea.

I know that they have considered an annual subscription. They asked for feedback on AppleVis. Don't expect a lifetime option. Apple is actively gearing developers to use subscription options.

Are you using the correct gestures now? As George mentioned, you dismiss the keyboard with one finger flick and hold, or you can enable to next keyboard and dismiss keyboard buttons in the settings. Would you mind expanding on your issue with the navigation gestures? Are you using 2-finger, and 3-finger flicks to the right and left? If so, would you mind giving me step by step instructions to reproduce what you're experiencing?

Thanks for your input, we're still trying to get all of this settled. We have a call with the App Store team at Apple this week to discuss options for FlickType and we'll get back to you when we have news. Hopefully, we can come up with a good solution that works well for everyone!

You can put credit on your iTunes account, but the subscription is still monthly. Only advantage is that you don't see a small charge on your credit card every month.
Also, always good to remember to look for iTunes gift card deals. You do find them at 10% off, 15% off and sometimes even 20% off. Especially if you have an Apple Music family subscription at $14.99 a month which adds up to $180 a year (not counting the pennies) getting $200 worth of iTunes gift cards at 20% off does result in a pretty good saving, it would cover a year of Apple Music, a year of Flicktype and leave 8 bucks left over for a few other things.
