Re: WhatsApp crash update: important information
Jean-Philippe Rykiel
Hi there.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
Here is Whatsapp support's desperately stupid reply. I don't even know if French support reaches Whatsapp at all. This reply was written in French and I translated it via Google translate which by the way works amazingly well. Have fun. All keyboard components are fully controlled by the iOS. This includes multilingual keyboard, automatic correction, verification spelling and prediction. These features can be turned on and off in your iPhone Settings> General> Keyboard. If these features do not work properly, know that this is a concern with the iOS and not WhatsApp. If you're having trouble slowing down when writing or changing your keyboard or adding emojis, please reset the dictionary to your keyboard: iPhone Settings> General> Reset> Reset Keyboard Dictionary. In addition, for an optimizing performance of the application please uninstall all third party keyboards. Please understand that we can not not solve the concerns related to third-party applications, such as the empty keyboard. Re: Why can't I upgrade?
Hi Norman,
If you have Flicktype Classic then yes, you need to download the “Flicktype, A Better Voiceover Keyboard” app. You will also need to pay a $0.99 subscription (if you are in the US, in Canada or other countries that price will be slightly different) and then after you download the app you can go to Settings > General > Keyboards, click on “Add” and find the Flicktype keyboard under third party keyboards. Add it and make sure you allow full access, only then will you be able to switch to it system wide.
Regards, Sieghard

Re: Why can't I upgrade?
Hi Norman,
Sorry to hear you're having issues. Would you mind clarifying what you mean by dimmed and what you mean by "not letting me upgrade"? Thanks! Ashley

Re: Email and web address
Christopher Hallsworth <challsworth2@...>
Hello I am new to this group as like many others I joined the bandwagon when Flicktype 2.0 was released to the public. I suggest typing email and web addresses using touch type, not tap type. Doing so will complete the word(s) which you do not want. By the way keep up the good work guys, each update adds small but significant changes to the app.

Hello,

No, in order to use copy and paste you must switch to the iOS keyboard. In the future FlickType may have a half screen option that will allow you to use all the rotor functions. Chuck

In Fleksy I could have the option to have both the copy and paste to show in both the subject and body of the text or the body only. I do not see this option in flick type classic. Is that option available in the full version of Flick Type?

Email and web address
Ken Clarkg
When typing email addresses there and webpages and I am put area I told you don’t look to the right type the complete address using the touch type keyboard flip type keyboard the reason you don’t want to flip right anytime during the address is because the right flip put in a space you don’t want that

BTW, you can also enter words into the dictionary using FlickType Classic in the same way you entered them in fleksy. FlickType Classic and the custom keyboard share the dictionary.

Hello,

Remember, you must end your typing session before it will be entered into the dictionary. Once you dismiss the keyboard or change to the iOS keyboard, your name will be added. BTW, your names contain a lot of letters and are nothing like any common words. The text prediction should work very well... I occasionally get chick instead of chuck. 😎

Hi Chuck,

I read this before and in Fleksy once I manually typed my name and added it to the dictionary I could touch type it pretty fast and it would usually predict it correctly. This seems to not work in Flicktype so far, I'll try again, but so far I've been having problems with that. Regards, Sieghard

Thanks for replying to me. When I enter testflight, I am not presented with an update option (the "open button" is there though). How do I get to update? And more importantly, how do I update to Flicktype beta version 142 (I am currently on Flicktype beta 137). Looking forward to hearing from you. Regards Sameer

Opinion of changing things in the app
Ken Clarkg
note about flicktype I really like flicktype I believe it is a real good app that may have some things that have to be fixed and maybe you could use a half screen option as far as other things like bills and whistles I don’t really believe in that too much because this app is written to writing and you can get so far away I’m not with bells and whistle‘s that pretty soon the app lost its simplicity and his usefulness. That’s just my opinion and take it whatever it’s worth but I’ve have seen too many apps that got ruined because they got over complicated with stuff that was way beyond what they were designed to do.
