Re: Two finger tap in system keyboard

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your messages! We'll look into your issue with the two-finger tap, surprisingly we haven't much about this issue from our two-handed typist. Words are automatically saved when you manually type them with the system keyboard. You can also manage the dictionary within the settings if you ever want to delete words.

Cheers!

Re: Customizing emojis

Chris Chaffin

Yes, you can, I just customized my emoji's. To do this, go to the settings tab at the bottom of the screen, swipe until you hear emoji shortcuts, then one more swipe will put you on the emoji edit field. Double tap the edit field and you can move one emoji at a time by flicking up or down with one finger. Use the delete key to delete any emoji that you do not want. To add more emoji's switch to the emoji keyboard and double tap on the ones you want to add.
Hope this helps.

Alpha numeric numeric character when pressed when pressed

In FlickType classic the alpha for the letter f when pressed is the word FlickType. That's neat.

Re: Menu l Problem

In the Flicktype app, do a flick up and hold to dismiss the flicktype keyboard, then you will find a share button at the top of the screen.

Re: Request for App Store reviews

A huge thank you to all of you that reviewed FlickType on the App Store, it really goes a long way for us, app developers, smile!

For those of you that haven't yet done so, you can use the following link from your iOS device to open an App Store review screen for FlickType: https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1359485719?action=write-review

Thank you for your support, we really appreciate it!

So I did a little research, and while it's correct that keyboards cannot access dictation, applications themselves, and thus the container app for FlickType, can at least access the microphone. Not sure about the dictation API though.

I'm of the opinion that like others have said this defeats the purpose of using FlickType. However, I can also see where your logic makes sense.
It would be cool to be able to stay in flicktype and dictate a word or two without having to dismiss the keyboard. So yeah, I can certainly see both sides to the argument here.
Have a pleasant day.

Hi,

thank you, will try that!

I'm noticing flick type comes up on certain edit fields and the iOS on
others. Does iOS save each keyboard to a specific edit field?

thanks for the tip!

Hello
In FlickType classic the quotation mark is on the top row, all the way right on the symbols panel.

Re: Beta tester

Well, as far down the road as this may be, I could actually see some kind of dictation implementation being useful, either so that I didn't have to switch keyboards just to press the button, or especially if someone plans to completely remove the iOS keyboard all together and only use FlickType, which I think is the eventual goal. I'll have to look into whether or not apple will even let third party keyboards have access to dictation... Interesting food for thought.

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of using FlickType if some sort of dictation feature were added into the app?
