Hi Chuck, I don’t even bother with the export button. I quickly type what I need in FlickType, bounce over to the target location, find the text box, and two finger quadruple tap to paste what was automatically sent to the clipboard when I exited FlickType. Easy peasy and so much faster than using the native on screen keyboard. Alan

Instead of opening Google and then typing your search terms, you open FlickType, type your search terms, then export the text to Google. In some cases it actually takes less taps. As I type this reply it will take me about two minutes to finish... Much faster than any other method, including dictation... After the corrections. Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

I agree with Chuck. I find little difference in using the FlickType container app which I leave running in my App switcher and the FlickType keyboard which I used full screen prior to its removal. Switching to the FlickType keyboard took about as much time as popping to the container app and typing there. The speed differential between typing with FlickType versus other available methods isn’t at all comparable for me. I can type accurately with FlickType more than twice as quickly than with other methods. Alan Lemly I highly suggest that you do not delete the FlickType app, rather stick it in the back of a folder some place in case you want to return to it some day. I tried other typing methods after Fleksy stopped being accessible and I found that nothing worked as well. The same thing happened when it was announced that Kosta was removing FlickType. Personally, the few extra taps it takes to use the container app is still much faster than any other typing method. Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores. I too am going to say goodbye. It has been fun with FlickType, and I remember when I first beta tested it. I was going on a cruise, and Koster said no problem when you come back you can continue. It’s been fun, and it’s sad that FlickType had to end. Koster and Ashley, thank you for the opportunity of beta testing. I’m still on Twitter if ever you decide to resurrect FlickType, and I’m more than happy to beta test again.
Hey everyone. This is going to be my last message on this list. Now that FlickType will probably never go back to its glory days where we can use it as a third party keyboard, I have no use for it. I'm looking at other alternatives like MBraille to see if I like them. If you still want to keep in touch, by all means send me an email. No drama though haha. Anyway guys, it was fun. Ashley and Kosta, thank you for making my life easier while you could and good luck on your future endeavors. It's too bad it had to end the way it did, but it is what it is, and we all have to adapt whether its using FlickType in the container app or finding other third party keyboard alternatives. So for now, I'll see all of you around somewhere. Regards, Shawn, Sent from Sophia, the MacBook Air
