Hey Benny,
No, you're not. That's just how it works.
There should be like a shift gesture though. Hmm, might be something
to consider.
anyways, yeah, hope this helps.

- Single tap with two fingers to toggle the secondary layout. In letters,
this switches between lowercase and uppercase. In numbers, it switches
between numbers and symbols.
- Added emoji shortcuts 😎. Flick right to enter a period, then flick up.
These will be configurable in the future.
- Flick down and hold to dismiss, or up and hold for next keyboard.
- Flick right and hold for new line / return.
- Three finger tap and hold to read back.

Re: Capitalizing a word

Sharon Kim

Really?
Mine didn't do that. I mean there was no space. I just did the two
finger tap, put in the first letter, not manually just like normal
flicktype fashion, and then did a two finger tap once more, and
continued writing the word. it came across just fine.
Or... so I think?

Personally, these gestures are great!
Kosta and I were discussing the problems with the Fleksy gestures, and how I had problems entering a new line and going to the iOS keyboard.
He has solved those problems with these simple to do gestures.

Re: Build 71

Ed Worrell

Hello Kosta and All,

I am finding the the new gestures for dismissing the keyboard very hard to trigger reliably, I actually hate the one finger gestures. I find them very inconsistent whilst I am using the keyboard. I find them one finger gestures very distracting from the actual typing progress. I find the one finger gestures slow down the productivity of the keyboard and it’s really bothering me.

I think the three finger swipe down should be an option for dismissing the keyboard for us that don’t like the one finger swipes, and I also think the gestures to switch to the iOS keyboard should be a three finger swipe up. I really am not sure why there needs to be the ability to use the keyboard one handed. I personally don’t want to drop my iPhone. I actually use both hands all of the time.

Just my rant, and I know there will be a lot of you that don’t agree with me.

I agree, the one finger left flick and hold would indeed work best for the deletion function. It was simply the only other one handed gesture that I could think of that was left. I did say that I would think that gesture to be a bit weird for being used as one for switching to the next keyboard. Personally, I can work with the gestures as they are in their current state.

great job!
As we discussed, the gestures are positive and very natural for the tasks they are performing.
My only problem is remembering what does what, but I'm sure in a few days I'll be up to speed.
I would also like to see the flick left and hold for a quick delete. I would also like to see the ability to enter words into the dictionary, I am going back to the app for entry now.
The emoji are fun, but I have a funny feeling I will be seeing a lot of😎 in the near future, but that's ok👍.
