Thanks Kosta.

One other question. In the app you can manually type the first letter of a word and capitalize it, then use flick typing to type out the rest of the word. Will this be added to the custom keyboard? Right now if I want to type "Apple" rather than "apple" for example, if I type a capital A, then attempt to tap out the rest, I get A poor Another issue with spaces by the way too, though you probably already know... Above, I typed Apple manually, and apple with taps. With the latter, FlickType inserted spaces after the first quotation mark, and before the second quotation mark. But it correctly did not do so with the manually entered word. Dave

suggestion for two finger double tap
Santiago
Hello,
The latest alpha is working well! Great job! I had a quick suggestion regarding the two finger double tap gesture. Maybe we can have that cycle between letters, numbers, and symbols? You know, similar to the default keyboard on iOS? Also, is having an option for the keyboard to only cover half of the screen still being considered? Thanks again, Santiago

Re: Build 75
Thank you Maria.
David, adding words to the dictionary will most likely be automatic and there will also be a way to view and edit all your custom entries from the main app. FYI, build 75 was just released to the beta group, thank you all for helping us get a good release out the door! ๐ Kosta

By the way Kosta. Do you plan to add a way to add words to the dictionary in the custom keyboard?

Or is this likely to be an automatic process if you manually type a new word? Dave

Thanks for that fix Kosta. I too can confirm that I'm no longer getting those pesky spaces in manually typed words where I've deleted a letter.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
I would also echo the point about deleting new lines. If you put a new line in, then change your mind and swipe left to delete it, instead of deleting just the new line, it deletes the last thing you typed, usually a punctuation mark, on the previous line. I'm really getting to like the 3D touch for capital letters. I had forgotten about the app switcher gesture on the left as I am on an iPhone X. But as you say, you don't necessarily have to hard press on the letter you want, you can do that first, then slide to the desired letter. Dave

Adding two letter words to the dictionary
Nozi <noziphokhanda@...>
Hi Costa and Ashley
Is there a way of adding two letter k words to the dictionary? In the first builds of Flicktype I manage to add a couple. However now I donโt seem to be able to do that for example shortened names as I use them regularly.

Hi Kosta and team. I've never had the text duplicating problem, and I've only had the text disappearing once but I'm not sure what I did to achieve it. Apologies, not very useful I know. I did notice the deleting individual characters would add a space, but I'm happy to report this build fixes that issue as expected.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
The only thing I need to get used to is remembering whether I'm in the app or the custom keyboard whilst trying to enter a capital letter. In the app, it's type then gesture but in the custom keyboard its gesture then type. It works perfectly, its just my brain that goes into autopilot and I keep going for the app gesture but I'm sure I'll get there! Its certainly come a long way in a short time. I'm guessing the next big job is adding words to the dictionary? Its probably less pressing now the manual keyboard is working so smoothly but it would still be welcome obviously. I had no idea about the 3D touch on the left of the screen gesture to activate the app switcher. I learn something new every day. Cheers to all, Macky Sent from my iPod

Speaking of solid builds, we'll be pushing this to beta tomorrow am unless anyone reports any significant issues, smile! As usual, we've updated the wiki page and would love your feedback in order to reduce the upcoming wave of inquiries as much as possible: https://flicktype.groups.io/g/beta/wiki/Custom-keyboard If we missed anything, or anything could be phrased more clearly, please don't hesitate to send us your thoughts. Thank you all, Kosta & Ashley

Now that I know you typed an emoji, that explains why I was seeing the space followed by the two question marks. The error is on my end because I was reading your email with Outlook 2010 on a Windows 7 computer and it doesn't have the ability to display emojis, so never mind. Alan Lemly

Yesterday, I also noticed the strange text you observed, but I thought that it had to do with Microsoft Outlook on my computer and the screen reader I was using. I have not encountered either of those two issues. That said, I have only been using FlickType in messaging apps primarily.

I know that previously I had encountered those issues in the mail app. Since I haven't really used FlickType in the mail app ever since version seventy four, I can't say for sure if it still occurs. But so far, I haven't encountered them anywhere else, for what it's worth. Nor in this email. Salman

Re: Bild 75
It might not have been clear enough from my release notes, but you can do the firm 3D press anywhere on the screen and it changes the whole layout as if you used the two finger tap. So you can perform the 3D Touch on the f for example, and without releasing your finger drag it over the Q. Also you only need to press hard momentarily for the toggle to work. Hope that makes sense.
