Custom keyboard vs the app.
I have been wondering why I prefer the app to the custom keyboard when sending messages and emails.
As I sent my last email I realize that I utilize work flows to handle a lot of the tasks.

Chuck, just a thought, but could your issue with tap volume be connected to audio ducking? I notice that when playing music or other audio, it stops when I open the FlickType keyboard, which tells me

Honestly I could count on one hand the number of times I've used the main app since the custom keyboard cane along. Its just so convenient.
I would only use the main app now if writing something

I think I use the main app more than the custom version at the moment simply due to being able to enter necessary punctuation, numbers and especially manual typing. The custom keyboard is coming on

Hi Dave. I've come across this situation also. Whilst my spelling is generally fine, if I come across a word I'm not sure of I quickly ask Siri to spell the word in question and type it straight in.

Chuck,
Well, maybe they won't be able to split it but I say whatever. How inconvenient is it really to have the main app installed even if someone doesn't intend to use it? It's not as if it will

Hi Allen,
I doubt that. When the fleksy keyboard was made to go system wide, they still required a app to do updates and it any kind of add-ons that may have been for sale as in app purchases.

Mike,
If by stating that you hope the main app is removed when the custom keyboard is released you mean removed completely from the Apps Store, that seems sort of a selfish viewpoint. Just because

Actually, I think I am the one who requested that contrasting bar to indicate where the home row should be. 😎 at first I didn't care much for the words on top, but now I find myself looking at them
