Re: Subscription based apps
Hello Michael, I totally agree that Kosta and Ashley should be compensated for their fine work. My concern is the two dollar and ninety nine cent subscription price may drive away some who are on limited income. I would think a dollar ninety nine cent price per month is more palatable, end also sounds like the subscription is only a dollar a month. An old marketer's ploy. I imagine Kosta and Ashley has done some type of study to see what the demographic will go for. Unfortunately, the App Store and its millions of ninety nine cent apps has turned many into cheapskates, expecting everything to cost a buck, instead of realizing that the limited market for this type of app will cause a higher price point. My suggestion that the price may be a little high is intended to get the most cash for Kosta and Ashley, not vice versa. Chuck

As you I have no money concerns. However for those who are unable to pay for the monthly subscription, there is still the classic version available to them. The developers have put a lot of time and energy into this project and deserve to get something back from the hard work and time they have already put into it. The reason for Fleksy going away was because of costs for developing. Why should they not be compensated for their work? We are talking about three dollars a month not ten dollars. My opinion and my frustration with our community.

Strange. I wonder why that issue would come back, considering it wasn't happening for you in build 86 first time around.

Oh also, one other question. It says, that you increased emogy shortcuts from six to ten. but how do I add new shortcuts? Because on my end, even with the latest build, it only has the original ones.

Re: Subscription based apps
Hello A All, I have also seen in a few apps that I use a one time purchase to unlock the full features of the app. Then they also have a tip jar, so people that want to help by contributing more to the app they can when ever they would like. I have seen this done a few different ways. 1. A tip that last 30 days and shows back up after the set time frame. 2. A persistent tip button. With a few different amounts. 3. Three year, Yearly or monthly subscriptions..

Re: Subscription based apps
My worry about a one time charge is how does the developer continue with upgrades and continued work. If we want a reliable and revolving enhancements, we have to be willing to support them. Either a monthly or yearly upgrade policy should be adopted. For those who do not want or cannot afford it, the flick type is available for those individuals. That is my personal opinion. I would support monthly subscription.

Re: Subscription based apps
hello all, yeah I'm not going to lie. While I understand that you do generate more revenue doing it subscription based, and now since I'm like relying on flicktype, I might subscribe, but honestly, it would be better if there was a one time payment. I think, that more people are likely to buy it. As stated before, there are a lot of blind and visually impaired people, who are short on money, who do struggle from pay check to pay check, and may have to save up a couple months to pay for the app. I do understand, that you guys need the revenue. A lot of hard work and dedication has gone to it. That is completely understandable, but it is more likely you would generate more revenue with one base price for the app. That is how MBraille, and other keyboard apps do it. Okay I'm done talking, thank you and have a lovely day.

Hello I also downgraded to the previous version. I kept getting the same issues as chuck. Everytime I put my password in it asked for it again and then I get the thank you message. As soon as I went back to the message application it said it was not registered or something like that. In the current state the keyboard is unusable.

I personally do not subscribe to any service that has some sort of a subscription model. So I simply don't use such a service. Unless it just can't be helped. So far, I do not have any such situations, app wise.. This is strictly what I do. I just don't prefer subscriptions of any sort.

So many services only offer a monthly fee and not a one time fee. I wish there was a way to avoid it but I understand the need for a monthly or annual fee. I like a monthly charge at least I can cancel it if I do not like the service. If I use a annual charge all at once, I am stuck with something I may not like. I personally would strongly prefer a one time purchase myself. I
absolutely do not like monthly subscriptions, or, any continuously
billing subscriptions for that matter and do not even have a single
one till this day for any service or app.
I would just rather pay for it outright.
I am very hopeful that this will be offered as an option. Any apps
that I have on my phone, have been able to give me that option, and I
sure hope that you guys can do the same.
Thanks,
Salman
