 Yes.
All words you enter manually will be entered into the dictionary once you are finished using FlickType.
The next time you type with FlickType, those words will be available in the dictionary.

In order for learn new typing session, does the word need to be entered manually or by using the FlickType gesture? For example if the word dog is not in my dictionary and I type dog in manually, does it get  entered   automatically into the dictionary?

Hi George,
The words will be entered into the dictionary once you have dismissed the keyboard, or sent the message or email you were typing.

I don’t understand what learn new words at the end of the typing session means. Can you please explain further as I can’t seem to get the feature working for me. By the way, the visual line is great.

Kind Regards,

George Cham

I also tried editing a word, which worked perfectly, and when I went back to review word by word FlickType pronounced the word instead of each letter. I know this was buging some people. Personally, I expect some trade offs when dealing with accessibility.

This can be useful to add an apostrophe after typing words like "its" or "were", or to properly capitalize a word like "iPhone". It's also a fun way to test the limits of the FlickType correction algorithm by purposefully choosing nearby letters instead of the correct ones, and then checking if your intended word was in the suggestion list.
